Oswald Chambers was correct when he remarked that, "Prayer is not preparation for the work, prayer is the work." Here at Kingscliff Church, we believe that prayer works and that it is powerful. This being the case, we are passionately committed to the ministry of intercessory prayer. One of the founders of the Seventh-day Church, Ellen White, wrote about prayer that, "It is a part of God's plan to grant us, in answer to the prayer of faith, that which He would not bestow did we not thus ask."

In additional to personal and devotional prayer, we have an active intercessory prayer ministry. This ministry includes an email list for prayer needs, after-church prayer sessions, and weekly (not weakly!) prayer meeting, in addition to the many spontaneous and member-driven prayer moments that spring from a connected and converted congregation.

For us, it's pretty simple: we take prayer seriously because we take God seriously. Doesn't Scripture tell us to, "Pray without ceasing" (Thessalonians 5:17)? We take this to mean that we are called to have an attitude of prayer and of intercession at all times. Here at Kingscliff, we try not to say, "I'll pray for you," but something even better: "Let's pray!"

If you'd like to submit a prayer need or be a part of our intercessory team of prayers, please contact us and let us know.
