At Kingscliff Church, we support local charities that are servicing homeless people in the Kingscliff and Tweed Valley area. At church there is a designated "gold coin" donation repository in the foyer, where members and visitors drop in coins (preferably gold ones!) that go towards supporting these exisiting services. Additionally, in partnership with our Hampers of Hope ministry, we collect personal items to be distributed to those in need; things like towels, toiletries, food, and camping gear are collected.

Also, every Sabbath morning Kingscliff Church members feed the local homeless as the skatepark in Coolangatta. Wonderfully, this is mostly a youth initiative! Several of our local youth wanted to "do something" with their Christianity; they wanted to minister in practical, helpful, and authentic ways. So they started waking up early on Sabbath mornings (sometimes causing them to miss Sabbath School, but we support that!) to assist with the feeding of the homeless. And this hasn't been a short-lived passion; it's been going on for more than a year, every Sabbath! Yes, we are very proud of our local youth for their passion to make Christianity something real, something that makes a difference to real people in real-life situations.

"Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me" (Matthew 25:40, NIV). We believe the gospel is not merely a "vertical" reality that impacts our thoughts and beliefs, it is also a "horizontal" reality that changes our actions, spending, and words.
